Carlisle United are set to turn Brunton Park`s Paddock terrace into a seating area for £60,000.

John Nixon, Carlisle`s managing director, told News & Star Sport: “We got very close four or five weeks ago to thinking about making the Paddock all-seating over this summer.’

“The team almost got to the League One play-offs and we are looking to get to the Championship, which would leave us two or three years to make Brunton Park all-seater.’

“So if we didn`t do it this year, we would probably do it for next season.”

“We are leaving the plan this summer but next season could be the last one with the Paddock as a standing area,” Nixon added.
