It’s come to light this week that Carlisle are on course to set a new record – one that we’ll accept if we do it in a positive fashion at Southend!

The 26 games that we’ve gone on a run of without a draw equals the previous ‘club record’ run without a stalemate that was set from the 1929/30 season and carried over into the 1930/31 season, anything but a draw against Southend on Saturday would see that long record beaten….

During this run, which has been ongoing since an amazing draw in itself that ended four-four with AFC Wimbledon at Brunton back on September 6th, we’ve won 10 and drawn 16 of the League 2 fixtures we’ve played.

Like I say as long as this ‘record’ is beaten with a win on Saturday hopefully we’ll set it, we would sooner let it stand at an equal record if it means we’ll get at least on point!
