The first fixture of the 2014/2015 season was revealed today with Carlisle finding out their league cup (Capital One Cup) first round opponents.

Following today’s draw Carlisle know that they’ll be taking on championship side Derby County, with the game being played at Brunton Park on the week commencing 11th August.

The game will see a return to Brunton Park of former Cumbrians boss Paul Simpson, who is working alongside Steve McClaren at Pride Park for Derby and will be sure to get a good reception, as will former defender Richard Keogh who now captains Derby.
