Recently Keith Curle spoke about Billy Paynter and said that he wasn’t fit for selection but it’s come to light that he and teammate Gary Dicker have called for PFA help!

The PFA (Professional Footballers’ Association) work on behalf of players and managers with the BBC reporting earlier this week that the pair went to them for representation following a club fine.

‘Internal issues’ were something that Curle said that he wouldn’t comment on but it’s being reported that both Dicker, who hasn’t played in over three-months, and Paynter, who hasn’t been involved for Carlisle in almost three-months, were fined having refused ‘to do extra training sessions’ which is the case for those ‘not in the first team.’

Hardly something we could do with when battling relegation is it, although if the players are in the right they’ve got every right to appeal – if they are they’ll be backed, if not the fine stands I assume?
