Sometimes you don’t always get what you deserve out of a game, and perhaps this was the case for Carlisle on Saturday when they lost 2-0 at Brunton Park to Crawley.

Graham Kavanagh, as he told BBC Radio Cumbria, found it difficult to “sum up” things: ‘We created as many chances as we probably have done all season. We got on the end of quite a few but we just couldn’t seem to get that goal.

‘We fought with the elements in the second half, and with the wind we thought we could dominate the game.

‘The first goal’s a sloppy goal to give away, which we’re very disappointed about and we don’t actually put the ball in the net, so it’s a frustrating one.

‘It’s a difficult one to sum up because if you create that many chances in a game, you do expect to win.’

There will be other times when Carlisle win games that perhaps they might not have deserved to, so over the course of the season you’d like to think that these things even themselves out…

Key to what happens next is how Carlisle respond to this, with them soon having a chance as there’s another game in midweek!
