Carlisle United are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Reggie Lambe in the two one victory over Wycombe Wanderers at the weekend at Adams Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Lambe was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Carlisle made more ground on the Sky Bet League Two frontrunners, overcoming an early setback to win 2-1 at Wycombe Wanderers. Falling behind just two minutes in, the Cumbrians were level when Lambe teed up Jamie Proctor, and the roles were reversed as the winger grabbed the winner from Proctor’s flick-on.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Lambe for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Matt Gilks (Wigan Athletic), Cian Bolger (Fleetwood Town), Tin Plavotic (Cheltenham Town), Jorge Teixeira (Charlton Athletic), Kadeem Harris (Cardiff City), Piero Mingoia (Cambridge United), Chris Clements (Grimsby Town), Reggie Lambe (Carlisle United), Sam Baldock (Brighton), Jon Stead (Notts County), Paul Mullin (Morecambe).

Manager – Lee Clark (Bury).
