Carlisle’s League 2 season continued with a draw against Barnet at the Hive on Saturday.

A nil-nil draw at Barnet meant Carlisle missed the chance to move into the play-off places, with this goalless draw keeping United a point off the top seven.

These were the other results.

Saturday 16th January 2016
Accrington P-P Portsmouth
Wimbledon 3-1 Mansfield
Barnet 0-0 Carlisle
Crawley 0-1 Notts County
Dag & Red 1-2 Northampton
Hartlepool 1-0 Wycombe
Leyton Orient 1-3 Exeter
Luton 0-0 Cambridge
Morecambe 2-1 Yeovil
Plymouth 3-2 Stevenage
York 0-1 Newport

Sunday 17th January 2016
Oxford Utd 1-2 Bristol Rovers

Looking at these results the stand out ones have to be the wins for Northampton and Plymouth and Bristol Rovers over Dagenham (2-1), Stevenage (3-2) and Oxford (2-1) respectively.

Northampton kept the pressure on league leaders Plymouth as the Cobblers came from a goal-down to win two-one with goal-difference alone keeping them off the top.

The Plymouth win over Stevenage ensured they remained top with that three-two win at Home Park seeing a Boro fightback held off.

Oxford lost touch with the top two, whereas Bristol Rovers boosted their automatic promotion chances, with a two-one defeat at the Kassam Stadium.

Carlisle are back in action in midweek with an FA Cup replay at Yeovil.
