Earlier this week Crawley were being linked with a surprise move for Carlisle’s Brad Potts.

It wasn’t a surprise that other clubs could be interested in Potts but it was a surprise that £350,000 was apparently on the table from league one rivals Crawley.

Dave Pottinger, the chairman of Crawley, has moved to deny any interest in Potts or that a bid for him at least had been made as he said that Crawley didn’t have that type of money to spend.

That’s the end of that rumour then?

If that wasn’t enough the managing director John Nixon officially taking to the clubs website to deny any interest in Potts, Mark Beck (linked with Falkirk) or any other player should be enough to ease concerns shouldn’t it.
