Carlisle are believed to be looking towards Non-League for a new attacking talent.

It’s being reported that right-winger Josh Gillies is being targeted by Greg Abbott as a replacement for Jon-Paul McGovern following his release, with Gillies also branded a “set-piece specialist.”

Gateshead wanted to keep the 22-year-old winger but he rejected a new contract as he wants the challenge of a higher level, which could see the England C international end up at Brunton Park, with compensation needing to be paid to the Non-League side.
