Carlisle’s chance to move away from relegation trouble was missed on Saturday when we saw a lead lost at Oxford, who moved closer to safety themselves, in our two-one defeat.
Ending with 10-men didn’t help our chances at the Kassam Stadium with them coming back from a goal down to win.

The lead came our way when Oxford ‘keeper Clare didn’t judge Corry’s long-range freekick properly as we took an early lead. Hoban (38), with half time approaching, headed the hosts level though.
We went down to 10-men when Archibald-Henville saw red for his second bookable offence, collecting both bookings within minutes of each other….
A point, away from home and with 10-men wouldn’t have been bad but ended being none when recently signed loanee Vassell (80) scored the winner with 10-minutes left, just five-minutes after coming on!
Can we respond to this defeat next time round?
