Brandon Comley has been brought in to boost the Carlisle promotion bid, well at least for the next month.

Comley had joined United on trial earlier in the month, turning out in friendly with Barrow where he was involved in the Angelo Balanta goal in a one-one draw now spending the next month with the club.

20-year-old Comley, who made his QPR debut against Leicester last season, has been with the Championship side since the age of nine with him involved against Carlisle in the League Cup this season but could be in line to make his debut today.

Following his arrival Keith Curle told the Official Website.

‘We like what we’ve seen from Brandon and we think we can work with him. He’s one we’ve known about for a while. He played well against Barrow and he showed us that he has pace and a good touch. He can play in a three or a five and he looks comfortable on the ball. He’s come from a club with a very good pedigree and they know we’ll look after him. He’s at a stage now where he’s ready to take the next step and we’re looking forward to seeing him meet this next challenge up here with us.’

He’s due to return to his parent club, where he had signed a two-year deal last summer, on 20th February.
