Reddy? Not just yet!

Grimsby Town striker Michael Reddy is rumoured to be on his way to Carlisle United or, if you read it elsewhere, Bristol City or even Leeds United! No one can argue that if Blues brought in a player like Reddy that further promotion would be a feasible option next season. Providing of course we can sharpen our midfield and bolster our defence.

Kev Gray has already signed up for another year, Ziggy will easily make the grade, but we need a football brain to dictate and dominate midsfield and to open things up for the strikers…so next rumour is Lee Clark from Newcastle United. The likes of Clark would again be absolute quality, yes he’s getting on in football terms, but his experience and skill and overall knowledge would benefit the entire team and prove a ruthless determinate in a league one promotion challenge.

Rumour three.. it gets better, Steve Watson, another who has been about a bit, another who would enhance our squad, more quality, yes its possible he could come here, he’s a northern boy and still has potential and desire.

Rumour four.. not Alan Shearer, not Michael
Owen but Stuart Green from Hull City. Greeny has it all, class ability and a home boy. He was a class apart sometimes.. at Hull City last season. Rumour has it he’s on the United shopping list, he would be another quality addition.

So there you have it, the latest in scurrilous rumour and suggestion. If we coulf get hold of these players then no oe could object to claims that another promotion challenging season would be on the cards as well as providing a basis of
a good squad for the following season.

We can al dream and hope that rumours sometimes can become a reality.
