demandi, the online opinion portal of the Respondi AG, conducted a great ‘Football Survey’. More than 1.000 participants were asked, between Aug.2006 and January 2007, to voice their opinions about various aspects of the English Premier League and Championship survey.

Even though FIFA is against the use of video evidence, the great
majority of the fans are all for it. 72% thereby want it to be used to
decide whether it’s a goal or not. Almost half of the participants also
want to use it for critical penalty decisions and in order to punish
violent conduct and cheating.

Cheating really gets the fans worked up. Asked how the attractiveness of the Premier League and the Championship could be increased, 67% of the participants propose that poor sportsmanship should be punished with red cards.

In addition, fans were asked to rate their clubs and to predict the outcome of the current football season. All of these questions and many more proved for some very interesting results.
