Carlisle have extended the loans of two players, who would have otherwise been making an exit from Brunton Park.

Jordan Pickford and Danny Redmond have been granted permission by their parent clubs to spend longer on loan with the Cumbrians.

20-year-old Pickford has made six appearances for Carlisle so far but will now spend the remainder of the season with the club after his premier league club Sunderland agreed to extend his loan until the season ends.

Wigan’s 23-year-old midfielder Redmond, who has also played for the club six times, has been given permission to stay with the club for the next month.
