Carlisle boss Graham Kavanagh secured not one but two loan signings on Tuesday, with both coming into the squad to face Sheffield United tonight.

Defenders Reece Brown and James Pearson have signed on loan from Watford and Leicester City respectively.

22-year-old Brown is the brother of former England international Wes Brown, and he’ll spend the next month with the Cumbrians whereas 21-year-old Pearson is the son of Foxes boss Nigel Pearson and he’ll stay until the end of the season.

Kavanagh is delighted by their arrivals and thinks they’ll bring ‘some quality’ and versatility to the defence.

The Carlisle boss told the official website: ‘Reece has size and is very quick. He has been with clubs who play the game the right way so he’ll give us some quality.’
