David Symington’s loan away from Brunton Park was confirmed on the official website ahead of the weekend.
Symington’s still got a good 18-months of so on his Carlisle contract but his immediate future will be with Workington after he joined the non-league outfit on a short-term loan….
The 21-year-old has struggled for regular first-team football under Keith Curle with this a move that he feels will prove to be beneficial to all concerned so he feels that this is a good move all-round.
‘David needs first team football and this will give him the chance to get that.
‘We know it’s a club that will look after our players and we think this will be a move which will benefit all parties concerned.’
It’s down to Symington now to get out, play some regular first-team football and impress Curle into brining him back into his first-team plans…. Definitely the right move at this stage.
