Neil McDonald has denied the rumours about Carlisle Coach Greg Abbott that are circulating.
It has been rumoured that he is wanted by Bradford City to fill their manager role.
‘It’s pure speculation,’ McDonald told BBC Radio Cumbria. ‘Abbot is a vitally important member of staff here, and I believe he is very happy.
‘It’s only natural given his previous history with Bradford that he was going to be linked with the job.’
