Carlisle this week confirmed the loan extensions of two of our loanees until the end of the season, so they’ll both continue to be a part of our bid to stay in League 2, which would have taken an even bigger boost had we held on against Burton on Wednesday for all three-points!

The first one that we got tied down until the end of the season, confirmed on the Official Website, was Sheffield Wednesday’s Paul Corry.

On the 24-year-old Irish midfielders extension Keith Curle said.

‘We’ve seen what Paul brings to the squad and we have seen how well he can use the ball.

‘We’re delighted that he’s staying with us because he is very professional in his approach and he wants to help us as much as he can.’

Jason Kennedy, who scored our winning goal on Saturday to give us a vital three-points, had expressed his desire to stay with us until the end of the season having enjoyed his spell at Brunton Park so far.

That wish was too granted when he too extended his stay after an agreement with Bradford was reached with that also confirmed on the Official Website.

Like Corry fellow midfielder Kennedy will be here until the end of the season, much to the delight of Curle.

‘He adds drive and energy to the midfield.

‘Jason brings that level of controlled aggression and determination which is so important at this level.’

It was expected these were two good additions at the time, and so it’s proven so all being well they’ll get us over the line to Football League survival and then who knows what the future might bring for them both!
