Keith Curle will have to do without Kyle Dempsey (suspension) after his sending off for two bookable offences against Tranmere at the weekend.
Dempsey aside it could be an unchanged squad with Brad Potts set to come back in as a result. Troy Archibald-Henville (knee) needs to be assessed – a midweek game so soon after a weekend game, with another coming up, could be too much so he might sit out?
Shrewsbury could give Tyrone Barnett a start after he came off the bench to score on his debut at the weekend. James Wesolowski and Andy Mangan (both knee) miss out due to long-term injuries and Keith Southern is suspended.
