An injury-time equaliser against Portsmouth on Good Friday might prove to be the defining moment in Carlisle’s season? It certainly will be if that point proves to be the point that keeps us in the Football League!

Having gone a goal up early on we then fell two-one behind and until the fifth-minute of injury-time faced a Brunton Road defeat but a dramatic equaliser saw us get a two-two draw.

Dempsey (2) got us off to a great start when he fired home from 20-yards bit his effort was bettered when Wallace (38) scored on the run from 25-yards to make it one-one with half time approaching.

Portsmouth’s turnaround was complete in injury-time as Tubbs (45+3) was left with a simple tap in to make it two-one at half time.

Defeat was looking on until Wyke (90+5) scored the latest goal of his impressive spell with us, and possibly the most important goal of his career, to make it two-two with the last kick of the game!

This point made sure that we kept a three-point gap between us and the bottom two in League 2 with six-matches to play this season, if we can follow this up with an Easter Monday win at Accrington it’ll be a very successful Easter schedule, but will we?
