Notts Not to be taken for Granted

With every point at this stage of the season, vital – pardon the pun, Carlisle united will be looking to add a further three to their tally tomorrow. On paper the game against Notts County looks relatively straight forward, however, its Blues who need the result, not County.

A victory for Blues and results going their ways elsewhere could mean a real step closer to promotion being achieved. With Grimsby Town losing their way at home to Shrewsbury Town in a 1-1 draw and victories for both Orient and Northampton, United suffered little damage to their lead at the top of the table yesterday. A 1-1 draw at Bristol rovers may not have been what the doctor ordered, but a point was gratefully appreciated.

Notts County themselves have not been the most cinsistent of sides this season and victory could indeed by Blues if they stick to the hard working belief which flows through the entire team. Three points I feel will virtually secure promotion as the pressure does seem to be getting to United’s rivals more and more. The end of an incredible season is almost upon us, the Blues have success and the finishing post in their sights, promotion would be fantastic, to go up as Champions would be an unbelievable achievement.
