Results In Our Favour

It’s tough at the top! Wycombe and Grimnsby Town are both looking as though they are feeling the pressure. Wycombe in particular had a fairly easy looking home game against struggling Stockport county, but were fortunate to snatch a late equaliser to earn a 1-1 draw at home. Grimsby Town meanwhile faced Peterbrough United at Blundell Park and duly lost 2-1 – thats seven home defeats for them. Northampton were the only winners –
2-0 at Bury moves them into fourth place.
The results leave Carlisle in second place with an opportunity, if they win at Macclesfield tomorrow, of going top of the league. Here’s hoping Simmo’s boys can take all three points and thus claim the position their play thoroughly deserves.
