Carlisle missed the chance to open up a bit of clear water between ourselves and the bottom two when we let a lead slip in the draw with Morecambe on Saturday, we ‘paid the penalty’ late on with the visitors equalising from the spot.

Having taken the lead, and coming into this with confidence from an impressive win on Tuesday, we couldn’t see it out with Morecambe equalising late on in the one-one draw at Brunton Park.

Neither side could breakthrough in the first half but when Potts (53) fired home from 25-yards shortly after the break things looked up!

When Mullin went down in the box a penalty was awarded, Amond (78) made no mistake in beating ‘keeper Hanford to make it one-one and had it not been for the woodwork we would have lost with Redshaw denied.

It’s another point towards safety but we needed more at home, which makes a win next time out all the more necessary! Let us know if you think we’ll get it with a vote to your right.
